Key issues to be focus of this year’s League Day in Dover.
- Improving our elections system to allow all citizen voices to be heard.
- The National Popular Vote Compact: Basing the Electoral College on the popular vote.
- Securing clean water and sound infrastructures.
- Clean energy supplied through Renewable Portfolio Standards and Green Power.
This annual event, sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Delaware and League cosponsors – ACLU, Delaware Coalition Against Gun Violence, Delaware Coalition for Open Government, ERA Now Delaware, Delaware Nature Society, Inland Bays Foundation, and National Popular Vote – will be held at The Outlook (The Duncan Center, 500 W. Loockerman Street, Dover) on Thursday, March 28, 2019. The public is invited to hear speakers who will provide updates on each of the five key issues (Q & A to follow), enjoy a lunch for participants and state legislators. The day’s events will conclude at Legislative Hall where participants will meet with their Senators and Representatives.
